    Kimberly Peters Barone received a Bachelors of Science degree in Biology from Lake Erie College in 1996.
    
    While attending Lake Erie College, Kimberly participated in Team de Vile for four consecutive years, was on the Tiber yearbook staff, a member of Mortar Board, and worked in the Offices of College Life and Admissions. 
    
    Kimberly participated in the International Horse Show Association (IHSA) from 1992 through 1995. While competing for Lake Erie College, she was the 1995 winner of the Cacchione Cup, the highest level of achievement in collegiate competition, at the IHSA Nationals at Colorado State University. The previous year, Kimberly won the Zone Finals open over fences, placed fourth at Nationals in the open over fences category and was also a Cacchione Cup qualifier that year. She competed in Holland at the International Intercollegiate contest where 16 countries were represented. While in Holland, Kimberly Peters Barone placed second in the over fences category.

    Kimberly was married in January 2001, and has her own horse business outside of Minneapolis, Minn. She still competes all over the country in the Hunter and Jumper divisions and also attends a competition annually in West Palm Beach, Fla.

    The Athletic Hall of Fame Committee recognizes all these accomplishments by Kimberly Peters Barone with induction into the Lake Erie College Athletics Hall of Fame on May 19, 2001.
