Lake Erie College Athletics Hall of Fame
The 2006-07 men's basketball team went 25-3 during their historic season and won their second straight Allegheny Mountain Collegiate Conference (AMCC) championship. They became just the second team in Lake Erie history to make a berth in an NCAA national tournament, and the first to earn a first-round bye in the process. Their 25 wins remain a program record to this day.
As a team, they finished 11th in the nation in steals per game (11.9), 13th in scoring margin (+12.9), and the 29th highest scoring offense (81.2 ppg).
Along with the team successes, many players earned personal accolades along the way. The Storm had four players named All-AMCC, with two on First Team (Robert Williams, Derrick Thornton), and one on each the Second Team (Darnell Campbell) and Honorable Mention Team (Howard Washington).
The Athletic Hall of Fame Committee recognizes all these accomplishments by the 2006-07 Men's Basketball Team with induction into the Lake Erie College Athletics Hall of Fame on September 13, 2025.
