Biography

2011: Played in nine games as a reserve on the defensive and offensive linesm as well as special teams... totaled two tackles... permanently moved to offensive line near the end of the season.

2010: Played in all 11 games as the back-up nose guard and on special teams as a sophomore in 2010... made 14 tackles, including seven solo stops... had two tackles and registered half a sack against Ohio Dominican on 10/30... made a career-high three tackles twice, versus Michigan Tech on 9/11 and at Ashland on 11/13.

2009: Freshman defensive lineman appeared in eight games… made six tackles (two solo) on the season… had two stops each in three games… finished the year with 1.5 tackles for loss, including a sack for a nine-yard loss at Adrian on Sept. 26… recovered a fumble at Apprentice on Oct. 10.

PRIOR TO LAKE ERIE: Was a four-year defensive tackle at Bellevue High School… earned All-Ohio honorable mention laurels… also played first base on the baseball team at BHS.

PERSONAL: Born on April 18, 1991… majoring in sports management… parents are Jenny and Scott Laird.
