2011: Played in three games as a redshirt freshman as a reserve linebacker and on special teams, but was a regular on the travel squad dress list... made one unassisted tackle at Michigan Tech on 9/10/11... named to Academic All-GLIAC Team.

2010: Was redshirted his first year on campus.

PRIOR TO LAKE ERIE: Played both football and baseball at Monroeville High School.

PERSONAL: Born Oct. 21, 1991… plans to major in sports management… parents are Tom Schwan and Jana Barwell.
