Lindy Brobeck Named Next Head Coach of Lake Erie Women's Lacrosse

PAINESVILLE, Ohio -- Lake Erie College Athletics announced today that Lindy Brobeck has been named the next head coach of the Storm women's lacrosse program. She becomes the sixth head coach in program history.

"We are thrilled to welcome Lindy, whose wealth of lacrosse knowledge and passion for enhancing the student-athlete experience will have a tremendous impact on our program," said Molly Hoffman, executive director of athletics at Lake Erie. "Her experience as a national SAAC representative gives her a unique and valuable perspective on the student-athlete journey. Lindy's unwavering commitment to developing our athletes—both on and off the field—perfectly aligns with our program's core values. We can't wait to see how her leadership will inspire our team and help cultivate a culture of excellence!"

Lindy comes to Lake Erie after serving as the assistant coach at John Carroll last season. In her lone season with the Blue Streaks, Brobeck helped to steer JCU back to the Ohio Athletic Conference (OAC) Tournament. She also became a key leader and moderator of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC).

"I am honored and incredibly excited for this opportunity at Lake Erie, said Brobeck. "I look forward to helping elevate the program to new heights. Together, we will build on the foundation already in place, create a culture of excellence, and strive for success both on and off the field. I can't wait to get started and contribute to the continued growth and success of Lake Erie Women's Lacrosse!"

Before her coaching career began, she was a 4-year letter winner at Marietta College, Brobeck played attack for the Pioneers. She played in 50 games across her career, which began during the COVID-shortened 2020 campaign. Brobeck started 15 games, including 7 contests. She compiled 23 goals and 15 assists for a total of 38 points, along with 30 groundballs and 6 draw controls.

In addition to playing, Brobeck also aided the team as a coaching intern. Her duties included working through pregame day operations, jersey output, equipment check-ins; photography and graphic design; and scouting and opponent reports. She graduated in 2023 with her BA in Educational Studies, Non-Profit/Public/Organizational Management.

Off the field, Brobeck showcased excellent leadership skills at Marietta, too. The Pickerington, Ohio native served as President of Marietta's and the OAC's Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC). In addition, she served as a delegate on the NCAA's SAAC team. Brobeck was an active voice for student-athletes on a national level in these roles.
