2009: Appeared in eight games for the Storm as a freshman defensive back… recorded tackles in all eight games, including a season-high four stops (three solo) in the season finale at Wesley on Nov. 7… had two tackles in his first career game at Gannon on Aug. 27… also had two pass breakups on the season.

PRIOR TO LAKE ERIE: Lettered twice at Olentangy Liberty High School as a defensive back, wide receiver and kick returner… earned Ohio Capital Conference MVP honors… team was the OCC champion… also was selected as the track team MVP for the Patriots.

PERSONAL: Born on Oct. 16, 1990… parents are Juan and Carla Whitner.
