INDIANAPOLIS, Indiana -- The Lake Erie College wrestling team took part in the 44th annual Midwest Classic hosted by the University of Indianapolis. The Storm finished t-23rd as a team and junior
Jack Haskin led the way by finishing first at 157.
Haskin had another incredible performance for Lake Erie, finishing 5-0 and earning wins against #7 Devin Bahr of Northern State and #2 Gabe Johnson of Central Oklahoma en route to the 157 victory. He recorded two wins by tech fall, one by major decision and two by decision.
Carsen Richards finished with an impressive 4-2 record for on the weekend. Despite losing in the first round, Richards bounced back and won his next four, including one by major decision.
This concludes Lake Erie's final competition of 2023 and they will be back in action on January 5th-6th for the NWCA National Duals where they will look to test their national standings against some of the best in the country.
