Storm Warning: Findlay

(FINDLAY, Ohio) - Saturday will mark the second game of competition for Lake Erie football as they travel to Findlay. The Storm (0-1 G-MAC) will be back in action after three consecutive weeks of postponed games and a bye week. Findlay (3-1 G-MAC) enters the affair after dropping their first game of the year to Ohio Dominican in week four.

In the week one loss, Lake Erie kept the game close despite the 28-3 final score against Ohio Dominican. Storm quarterback Gerald Gardner finished with a line of 17-28 on 169 yards passing. That's comparable to the performance put on by Panthers quarterback Evan Ernst, who threw 25-33 for 167 yards.

The Storm only points against the Panthers came from the leg of kicker Justin Smith who drilled a 34-yard field goal in the second quarter. Ohio Dominican held Lake Erie scoreless the rest of the way.

Findlay is led by quarterback Matt Winzeler who enters the match with eight touchdowns and 727 passing yards. Christopher Jefferson leads the Oiler defense with 19 tackles and 2 interceptions.

Kickoff is set for 1:00 pm with coverage available on the Great Midwest Digital Network.
