Storm Have A Succesful National Championship Weekend

Lake Erie College wrestling team finished off a successful 2021 season on Saturday at the NCAA Division II National Wrestling Championships. Christopher Droege dropped both of his matches on session two. Droege finished eighth and earned All-American honors at the 197-pound weight class.

Zane Johnson (133), Sean O'Hearon (157), James Penfold (165), and Droege (197) each contributed to the best NCAA Championship finish in four years. The quartet each made it to the round of 12 that capped off one of the toughest years of competition on and off the mat.

The Storm will be returning several top-ranked wrestlers and will add a 2021 signing class with multiple state placers.
