The Lake Erie College wrestling program traveled down to Indianapolis for the 42nd annual Midwest Classic this past weekend. The Storm wrestlers competed hard in an event that brings some of the best wrestlers in the nation from 42 collegiate programs. As a team, the Storm would finish 29th.
Individually, the best result for the Storm was freshman Jack Haskin who finished 8th overall in the 149 pound weight class as he won 4 individual bouts across the 2 day event. Christopher Droege (197), Jordan Rodriguez (125), Ryan Wehner (133), Nate DeBoe (141) and Jacob Potok (165) would all also earn multiple winning bouts in the event.
This would be the final competition for the Storm wrestlers before the holiday break. They will return to action on January 6th and 7th as they will head to Louisville, Kentucky to compete in the NWCA National Duals.
