The Lake Erie College Storm women's basketball team fell to the Wright State Raiders, 91-60 on Dec. 15 in Dayton, Ohio. This loss drops the Storm's sixth consecutive loss and puts their overall record on the season at 1-8.

The first half did not get off to a fantastic start for the Storm, as they struggled to find a rhythm while Wright State continued to be nearly unstoppable on offense. Although the Storm managed to keep pace with the Raiders in rebounds, they were outshot from the field (50%-22%) and from beyond the arc (58.8%-9.1%). This would be enough to put the Raiders up 52-21 at the end of the first half of competition.

The Storm however would show some fight in the second half, making 56.67% of their shots from the field and 41.67% from beyond the mark, led by Taylor Thomas who would command the 3-point line, knocking down four of her eight attempts.

Despite the lopsided loss, the Storm stayed competitive in the second half, managing to keep pace with the Raiders, scoring 39 points while only giving up 39 as well.

On the day, Taylor Thomas would lead the Storm with 12 points while Lainey Billing would add 11 of her own as well as 7 rebounds.

Lake Erie will be back in action on Dec. 18 at 1:00 PM on the road against Ursuline College before finishing off the year with a home matchup against Findlay on Dec 31st.
