HILLSDALE, Mich. -- The Lake Erie women's basketball team traveled today to face the Hillsdale Chargers in another Great Midwest matchup. Despite a slo first quarter, the Storm battled hard with the Chargers, narrowly falling 54-50.

Game Recap

Both sides started slow, shooting a combined 25.8% between them. The Chargers put together a few more baskets and held a 13-4 lead at the end.

In the second, both offenses picked up and the Storm narrowed the gap to 29-15 at the half.

The third quarter saw Lake Erie outpace the Chargers 14-12 to trim the deficit and in the fourth, they mounted an exciting comeback, outscoring Hillsdale 21-13 but it would not be enough as they dropped a very close contest on the road.
