Box Score The Lake Erie College women's basketball team hit the road to take on the University of Indianapolis Wednesday night. While coach Mackenzie Perttu's team battled hard, they fell short of the Greyhounds by a score of 85-54.
While the game did not go the Storm's way, there were some bright spots. Lauren Flannery tied for the Storm lead in scoring with 16 points, including hitting 4 of 5 shots from outside the three-point arc. Not to be outdone by her teammate, Breanna Bauer put in 16 points for the Storm, including shooting 6 for 7 from the free-throw line on the night.
As a team, the Storm were able to play some effective team basketball. They had a total of 12 assists on the night, and they racked up 4 steals and 2 blocks on the defensive side of the game.
Lake Erie returns to the hardwood on December 2nd at 7:30 pm as the open up Great Midwest Athletic Conference play with a home matchup against Walsh. The game will be played immediately following the conclusion of the men's contest with the Cavaliers.
