PAINESVILLE, Ohio -- The Lake Erie women's basketball team competed against the Thomas More University Saints tonight on the road in another Great Midwest contest. The Storm struggled to find an offensive rhythm in the game and fell, 57-37.

The first quarter did not fair well for either team. With a combined 16 points, the Storm shot 30 percent from the field while the Saints struggled mightily with a 21.43 shooting percentage.
The second quarter was slightly better for each side but the score would be just 22-16 in favor of Thomas More going into the second half.Â
Coming out of the locker room, the wheels began to fall off and the Saints outscored the Storm 35-21 to finish with a 57-37 win.
Sydney Shocklee led the team with eight points on 3-of-6 shooting.
Noel Weathers would lead with eight rebounds while
Melanie Alvarenga came up with a career-high three steals.
Looking Ahead
The Stork will be back in action on Saturday, February 21st on the road against the Malone University Pioneers. Tip-off is scheduled for 1 p.m.
