Box Score (Erie, PA) – The Lake Erie Storm women's basketball team traveled to Erie, PA to take on the Golden Knights of Gannon this afternoon. Lainey Billing had a career-high with 20 points but ultimately the Storm fell short in a 58-70 loss.
The Storm started off strong with a first-quarter lead of 21-15. Billing had seven points going into the second quarter with one assist and a rebound. Lauren Flannery added six points, followed by Abby Matalavage with five.
The Golden Knights started gaining on the Storm in the second quarter, coming out on top 14-10. Going into the half, the Storm was still up, 31-29.
The battle continued in the third quarter, as the Storm topped the Golden Knights by just two points, 17-15. Billing added another 8-points, followed by Bauer with five. Matalavage and Alexis Lehmkuhl each added two.
However, a late run by the Knights was too much for the Storm to handle, as Gannon topped the Storm 26-10 in the fourth quarter.
Lainey Billing was the high scorer for the Storm, ending with 20 points, 4 rebounds, and 2 steals. Bauer also came up strong with 14 points, five rebounds and one block on the defensive end. Followed by 10 from Lauren Flannery and nine from Matalavage.

The Storm is set to travel to the University of Indianapolis this Wednesday, November 24th to take on the greyhounds. Tip-off is set for 5 PM.
