Box Score Lake Erie fell this weekend to Walsh, 24-7, finishing the season with a record of 5-6 while the Cavaliers improved to 2-9. This marks the fourth time in a row Walsh has beaten the Storm, keeping the Pride and Passion Trophy in Canton once again.
The Storm got off to a hot start immediately when Peyton Brown returned the opening kickoff 97-yards to the house giving Lake Erie an early 7-0 lead. That return marks the second time this season that Brown has returned a kickoff 90-plus yards for a touchdown.
Walsh would later put three points on the board with a successful 32-yard field goal, cutting the Storm lead to 7-3.
Cameron Groddus would end a momentum-building drive by the Cavaliers with his second interception of the year, giving the Storm the ball back in their own territory. That drive would end in a punt but Walsh would end up taking it down the field for a touchdown, giving them their first lead of the game, 10-7 which would remain the score going into the second half.
The second half would then be dominated by the Cavaliers as they shut out the Storm and continued to extend their lead, giving them the win with a final score of 24-7.
Gerald Gardner would finish the day throwing 13-27 for 78 yards while Devin Brown would run for 25 yards on 9 attempts.
