Before week three's contest early and sitting last week's matchup, quarterback Gerald Gardner was leading the team with his efficient play, boasting a completion percentage of 64.9%, 785 passing and 5 passing touchdowns in three games played. The defense, led by Michael Cox's 6 total sacks, ranks second in the G-MAC with 323.3 yards surrendered per game and ranks first in passing defense, allowing 171.3 yards per game. They currently sit atop the G-MAC standings tied with Tiffin and Ohio Dominican.
Findlay Oilers (2-2, 0-0 G-MAC)
Coming off their second loss of the year, the Oilers enter into conference play with a .500 record, with losses to #3 Ferris State and Lindenwood. Once again, their offense has been highlighted by a strong run game, ranking second in the G-MAC with 233.8 yards per game. Thanks to a 303 yard game against UNC Pembroke, running back David Lynch leads the team and G-MAC with 400 yards, good enough to average 100 yards per game. On the defensive side, they have allowed a conference worst, 358.3 total yards per game along with 15 touchdowns.
