The Lake Erie College Storm wrestling program will host the University of Wisconsin- Parkside Rangers tomorrow, Jan. 31 at 6 p.m.

The Rangers come to Painesville with a dual record of 5-5 in the 2019-2020 season. They won against University of Wisconsin- Whitewater, Minnesota State University- Moorhead, Seton Hill, University of Indianapolis, and Davenport, while dropping duals to Minnesota State (No. 8), Augustana, Nebraska-Kearney (No. 2), McKendree (No. 5), and Mercyhurst (No. 14). Most recently, the program has received ten votes to appear in the latest NCAA DII NWCA Poll, and feature nationally ranked wrestlers at weights 125, 133, 141, and 165.

At 125, senior Joe Arroyo is ranked no. 11 overall with a record of 17-6.

At 133, redshirt junior Airk Furseth is ranked no. 6 overall with a record of 20-2.

At 141, redshirt senior Pernevlon Sheppard is ranked no. 11 overall with a record of 8-6.

Two Storm wrestlers are ranked by Open Mat. At 133, senior Blake Glogouski (7-3) has moved up three spots to take the no. 11 overall ranking, and will face the no. 6 overall wrestler tomorrow, while redshirt junior Chris Droege (13-5) has remained ranked at no. 13.

"We are excited to have a very tough non-conference opponent that is outside of our Super Region in Painesville.", said head coach Jeff Breese. "Parkside is routinely a top program in D2.  They are a great program to see as we look forward to teams that we may match up against at the NCAA Tournament. They will present some unique challenges for us in certain weights and are solid top to bottom."

141 - Andrew Lieb
