(PAINESVILLE, Ohio) – The first annual Dinner and a Show for Lake Erie was total domination as the hosts put up 50 in a Senior Night shutout of Urbana. The Storm end the dual meet season with a record of 9-4 as they head into super regionals next week at West Liberty. The Blue Knights ended theirs at 3-12.
The senior-heavy lineup didn't disappoint those in attendance on the ground floor for dinner. Four of the six seniors were in the lineup tonight and the quartet combined for 23 points. Forrest Glogouski opened the action with a pin fall in 2:05 to go with a forfeit at 125 for an early 12-0 lead. Andrew Lieb followed with another forfeit win at 141.
After another forfeit win at 149, Nick Boggs pitched a shutout with a 16-0 tech fall at the 2:50 mark. Brandon Houle closed out the senior activities and the night with a fall at 1:23 to set the final score.
Blake Glogouski (125), John Siemasz (149), Sean O'Hearon (165), Tylor Orrison (174), John Penfold (184), and Chris Droege (197) provided the other wins for the Green and White.
The Storm now sets course for the Northern Panhandle of West Virginia with the NCAA Super Regionals at West Liberty University. Those will take place all day on Saturday, February 23.
