The Lake Erie Storm women's basketball team (0-7) fell to the University of Indianapolis Greyhounds this afternoon with a final score of 80-73.
The Storm entered the locker rooms at halftime trailing by 17 points, but solid defensive play allowed the offense to come within nine by the end of the third quarter, with the Greyhounds leading 54-45. In the fourth, they came to within six five points at the three minute mark, but timely fouls allowed the Greyhounds to extend their lead again, and Lake Erie lost by sevevn points in the end.
Senior starter Josie Chaddock led the team in points today with 29 and five rebounds, two steals, and one assist. Junior Breanna Bauer recorded a double-double, recording 22 points and adding 10 rebounds, and three assists.
The Storm heads to Fairbanks, Alaska over Thanksgiving break for a three-game series in the North Star Invitational, hosted by the University of Alaska-Fairbanks. A preview for those games and updated statistics will be released on Wednesday.
