PAINESVILLE, Ohio

The Lake Erie Storm women's basketball team dropped its' fifth straight game this afternoon with a 92-70 loss to Gannon University to open up the season.

The Storm trailed to open the first quarter, and came back to earn their only lead of the game at the eight minute mark by one point. Gannon ended up leading by 27 with 5:40 left in the fourth quarter.

Freshman Lauren Flannery scored 23 points in the contest, a career-high and season-high, and also recorded five assists and six rebounds. Breanna Bauer added 13 points with two assists and seven rebounds, three of which were offensive.

The Storm will try to earn their first win this friday with a road matchup against Roberts Wesleyan.
