FINDLAY, Ohio

The Lake Erie Storm wrestling team competed in the Findlay Open this past weekend. To find the results for the 20 Storm wrestlers, click here. 

Notable performances include James Penfold taking eighth at 165, earning a fall in each of the championship rounds, and losing a 7-4 decision to Findlay's Devin Trevino. Penfold scored 9.5 team points for the Storm.

John Penfold also finished eighth, competing at 174. The elder brother also scored 9.5 team points for the Storm, earning wins by tech fall, major decision, decision, and fall throughout the day.

The Storm will host the Storm Open this Saturday, however, no Storm wrestlers will be competing.
