STORM WARNING: Lake Erie To Take On Top-Ranked Tiffin

(PAINESVILLE, Ohio) – Lake Erie will look to get to .500 on the gridiron tomorrow, but it will be no easy feat as the Storm hosts the first place Tiffin Dragons. The Storm are riding high after a 42-20 victory against Taylor last week to improve to 3-4 while the visitors come in at 6-1 overall and 4-0 in the G-MAC. Should the Storm win, it would put them at 3-2 in the G-MAC.

The two teams are quite familiar with each other as they have been conference rivals dating back to 2010 when the series began. Lake Erie won three of the first four games through 2013 before the series took a two-year break because of how the GLIAC schedule formed. It resumed in 2016 and saw the Dragons take the last three games.

Both teams also have something in common with a new head coach leading both teams. Reilly Murphy has re-energized the Storm program after making his way from Fayetteville State as the offensive coordinator. The Dragons are now led by Cris Reisert who was the OC for the high-powered Ohio Dominican offense the previous two seasons.

Fans are encouraged to wear pink for the game as both teams will be allowed to wear pink in support of breast cancer awareness month.

Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. with coverage available on the Great Midwest Digital Network. Lake Erie College students, staff and faculty are allowed in free with their LEC Storm ID card.
