SOUTH EUCLID, Ohio – The Lake Erie College swimming and teams were defeated today (November 8th) by Notre Dame College and Urbana. The women lost 79-73 to Urbana and 114-61 to Notre Dame, and the men lost 93-63 to Urbana and 107-66 to Notre Dame.
The women's team was led by Victoria Dos Santos (Sorocaba, Brazil / Colegio Ideal Sorcaba) who won the 200 meter free in a time of 2:03.00. She also won the 500 meter free in a time of 5:37.21.
Meri Cizmar (Zagreb, Croatia / X. Gimnazija Ivan Supek) also won two events, she won the 400 meter individual medley and the 200 meter backstroke with times of 4:52.12 and 2:11.59 respectively.
The men were led by Ivan Cizmar (Zagreb, Croatia / X. Gimnazija Ivan Supek) as he was the only member of the team to win today. Cizmar won the 200 yard backstroke in a time of 1:58.57, and he also won the 400 yard individual medley in a time of 4:24.04.
Lake Erie will be back in action Saturday (November 15th) when they travel to take on Malone University at 1 P.M.
