Men's Soccer
The Storm men's soccer team faced a tough matchup on October 23rd against the Tiffin University Dragons, ultimately falling 6-0. The Storm will look to bounce back on October 30th at 7 P.M. on the road against the Malone Pioneers.
Women's Soccer
Women's soccer took on the 3–8–2 Tiffin Dragons on the new turf field, earning a solid 2–1 victory. Goals were scored by Makenna Sanom and Leonie Witt. The win brings the all-time matchup to 7–11–1, still in favor of the Dragons. Later in the week, the Storm hosted the Malone Pioneers for senior night. Midway through the first half, Leonie Witt delivered a perfect corner kick finished by Alyvia Sanom to put the Storm on the board. The Pioneers responded with a goal of their own, and the match ended in a 1–1 draw. Lake Erie will hit the road Wednesday to face Tiffin once again.
Volleyball
Coming in at 8–12, Storm volleyball hosted the Roberts Wesleyan Redhawks. After dropping the first set 25–23, the Storm battled back to win three straight, finishing with a .186 hitting percentage. The team was led by Sophia McKenzie's career highs of 17 kills and 3 aces, along with Kennady Wiley's career-high 3 aces. Kennady Stewart also posted a career-best 8 blocks, while Kylie Anderson stood out with 44 assists. Later in the week, the Storm traveled to Tiffin, where they fell 3–0 to the Dragons, and then to Findlay, dropping another 3–0 match to the Oilers. The Storm will be back in action Saturday, November 1st, at the Jerome T. Osborne Gymnasium against Hillsdale College.
Cross Country
Storm cross country wrapped up a hard-fought season, led by senior Bryce Michaelis, who ran the 8K in 27:31.7. On the women's side, Mckenna Blore led the way with a 6K time of 25:56.1. Congratulations to the Storm cross country team on a strong season!
Football
Storm football traveled to Hillsdale, Michigan, to take on the Chargers, falling 35–10. Lake Erie's lone touchdown came from a forced fumble by Jordan Baker, which was returned 52 yards by Jalen Joyce. Offensively, the Storm were led by quarterback Brady Clark, who completed 13 passes for 119 yards and one interception.
