Men's Soccer 2023 Schedule Announced

PAINESVILLE, Ohio — The Lake Erie men's soccer Fall 2023 schedule has recently been released. After finishing in the Final Four round of the 2022 NCAA DII Men's Soccer tournament, the Storm are looking for another incredibly successful season. The Storm finished third in conference, with a 8-4-2 conference record and an overall 12-8-5 record.

The Storm kick start the season with a road game against Notre Dame College on Thursday August 31st before playing a neutral site contest against UIndy that will be held at Ohio Dominican University. Last season the Storm tied with the Greyhounds 2-2 to start their season. Their first home game of the year will be on Wednesday, September 6th against the Seton Hill Griffins. They will start conference play Wednesday September 13th on the road at Northwood University. They flew past the Timberwolves with a 4-1 score last season. In their next contest, they will host the Walsh Cavaliers, who they defeated 2-1 game previously. Two more home games follow, with Cedarville and Malone in late September. Neither team gave the Storm trouble last season, with the Storm sweeping both. Lake Erie is back on the road for the next two games, as they play the newest G-MAC addition Thomas More, followed by Trevecca Nazarene. The Storm return home to host Ashland on Wednesday, October 4th. The Eagles took the last game against the Storm 1-0, so Lake Erie is looking to make things even. The Kentucky Wesleyan Panthers travel to Lake Erie for the Storm's next game on Saturday, October 7th. Next is a four-game road trip at Findlay, Ashland, Wisconsin-Parkside, and Tiffin followed by another home game against Ohio Dominican. The regular season finishes up with two road games, as the Storm travel to Malone on Saturday, October 28th and Cedarville on Halloween day.

The G-MAC tournament follows the regular conference season. With the Storm's previous success in the 2022 season, they are hopeful for another great season. The Storm are led by head coach Louie Rolko. Coach Rolko enters his 6th year at Lake Erie, as he turned the program around starting since his hiring in March of 2017. Coach Rolko is assisted by Anton Mukhin, and Eric Stevenson.

The college, staff, coaches, and more all wish the team great success looking into the new season.
