OWENSBORO, Ky. -- The Lake Erie men's soccer team took to the road tonight for their G-MAC quarterfinals matchup against the No. 3-seed Kentucky Wesleyan Panthers. The Storm played evenly against the Panthers but were unable to secure the victory, falling 2-0 and ending their season. Lake Erie finishes with a 5-6-8 record and a 5-5-4 mark in G-MAC competition.

The Storm controlled the tempo of the game early on, recording the game's first three shots in the first 12 minutes of play. The Panthers came bouncing back but the Storm defense continued to hold.
In the 36th minute, the Panther's caught a break and took a 1-0 lead.
Much like the beginning of the first half, the Storm came out of the locker room and maintained control early on. After a back-and-forth scoreless battle time was winding down. In the 85th minute, the Panther's scored putting the game out of reach and handing the Storm a tough loss to end the season.
As expected, it was a very physical game. Seven total yellow cards were issued in the contest, with the Storm earning four of them.

David Ruiz Ospina recorded four saves in the game.
