Box Score 2 (Findlay, Ohio) – The Lake Erie softball team fell to the Findlay Oilers tonight. The Oilers won game one with a final score of 6-1, followed by game two with a final score of 7-0.
Game One
Grace Hammer pitched game one for the Storm recording a strong eight strikeouts but with the hot bats of the Oilers, Hammer gave up 10 hits.
Offensively the Storm had a tough night recording only three hits in game one. Hitless until the fourth inning, Jaime Carpenter singled to left field, followed by a walk for Payton Brownlee. Although the Storm got two runners on in the fourth, they were unable to produce runs leaving both Carpenter and Brownlee on base.
The Storm's two other hits came in the top of the fifth when they scored. Jordyn Long doubled to left field with two outs. Long scored on an RBI single by Dani Soria, but the third out came after on a hit-to-short stop by Carpenter.
Game Two
Carly Rowland took the start for the Storm in game two recording 3.1 innings pitched. Rowland recorded two strikeouts against the Oiler's strong offense but gave up nine hits. Bridget Mullholand came in to help the Storm recording the final 2.2 innings. In her appearance, Mullholand recorded one strikeout, giving up two hits.
Offensively, Chloe Allen recorded the solo hit for the Storm in game two. Allen doubled to left-center early in the first inning but was left on base.

The Storm will travel to the University of Indianapolis as they look to compete in a doubleheader against the Greyhounds tomorrow, Wednesday, April 7th. The conference matchup got moved up an hour in hopes of getting the games in before a "Storm". Game one is now set to begin at 1 p.m. followed by game two at 3 p.m.
