Box Score 2 (North Canton, Ohio) – The Lake Erie Storm split the afternoon with the Walsh Cavaliers. The Storm took game one 2-0 on a two-run bomb hit by Leah Buck, scoring Chloe Allen. The Cavaliers came back in game two with a final score of 9-1 in five innings.
Grace Hammer took the circle in game one recording seven strikeouts.
To start the game, Chloe Allen singled but was left on base. The Storm was hitless again until the fourth inning when Chloe Allen singled again. Allen stole second but again was left on base. Jordyn Long reached first on an error by the third baseman in the fifth inning and advanced to second on a single by Dani Soria. Two quick outs by the Cavaliers followed leaving two runners on base.
Allen singled to start the sixth inning as the score was still tied 0-0. Allen stole second, putting the Storm in position to score a run on a deep hit. Leah Buck came in clutch for the Storm with a 2-run bomb scoring Allen putting the Storm up 2-0 in the top of the sixth. The Cavaliers were unable to gain momentum as Hammer had a strong arm throughout the game allowing only two hits.
Taking the circle to start game two, Carly Rowland recorded four strikeouts in her two innings. Bridget Mullholand came in to finish the game recording 2.2 innings pitched with one strikeout, giving up only one hit.
Jesse Carpenter recorded the first hit of the game for the Storm in the second inning, three quick outs followed leaving Carpenter on base. The third and fourth inning was scoreless for the Storm. Leah Buck started the fifth inning with a walk. Jordyn Hawkins tripled, scoring Buck. The game came to an end later in the fifth inning with a final score of 9-1 in favor of the Cavaliers.
