Box Score 2 (Evansville, IN) – The Lake Erie softball team dropped a pair of games on the second day at the 2021 Midwest Region Crossover. The Storm fell to Grand Valley 6-1 and dropped game two of the day to Purdue Northwest with a final score of 13-5.
Game One
Grace Hammer pitched the first game versus Grand Valley. Hammer recorded four strikeouts while allowing nine hits.
Chloe Allen recorded one RBI for the Storm and Kiya Smith added a hit of her own.
Game Two
After falling in game one, the Storm moved on to face Purdue Northwest in the second game of the day.
Carly Rowland, Parker Viele, and Bridget Mullholand all pitched during the loss versus Purdue. Between the three, they allowed 12 hits and recorded two strikeouts.
Payton Brownlee went 2-3 recording two RBI, Chloe Allen recorded one RBI along with Jordyn Hawkins and Bridget Mullholand. Leah Buck had a great game at the plate going 2-3.
Up Next
The Storm will be back in action tomorrow March 6th at 12 p.m.(EST) against Grand Valley. The Storm is looking to come back stronger in their final game of the Crossover.
