Box Score 2 (Painesville, Ohio) – The Lake Erie softball team fell to the Hillsdale Chargers this afternoon. The Chargers won game one 10-2, followed by game two 11-0.
Game One
Grace Hammer pitched game one for the Storm. Hammer recorded two strikeouts on the game, giving up 14 hits to the Chargers.
The Storm was scoreless in game one until the fifth inning. Jaime Carpenter started the inning by reaching first on an error by the Charger's pitcher. Jordyn Long followed with a single which advanced Carpenter to second. Dani Soria came up big for the Storm with 2 RBI single to right-center scoring both Long and Carpenter.
The momentum by the Chargers was unmatched in game one as they recorded 14 hits in the game with 10 runs. The Storm ended with two runs, and three hits.
Game Two
Bridget Mullholand pitched game two for the Storm. Mullholand had a rough game giving up 14 hits resulting in 11 runs for the Chargers.
The Storm was unable to gain momentum in the second game, recording only three hits on the day. Chloe Allen recorded a single to left field in the first inning but was later thrown out in a double play. The Storm's second hit came in the second inning from Jordyn Long as she singled to short but was left on base as Parker Viele struck out to end the inning. The Storm's third and final hit of the game came in the third inning from Allen as she singled to third base. Allen was left on base at the end of the inning.
Game two came to an end in the sixth inning.

The Storm will be back in action this Wednesday, March 31st as they take on Ohio Dominican. The doubleheader against the Panthers is set to start with game one at 3 p.m. followed by game two at 5
