Box Score 2 (Clarion, PA) – The Lake Erie softball team fell to Clarion this afternoon in their first double-header of the season. The Storm fell in game one 6-9, followed by game two with a final of 1-7. Game two was cut short in the fifth inning due to darkness.
Game One
The Storm was off to a good start, as Chloe Allen began the game with a triple. In the second inning, five storm players reached base as the Storm took a 1-0 lead on an RBI from Payton Brownlee. The Golden Eagles finished the game strong scoring three runs in the third, and two in the fourth, fifth, and sixth. The Storm tried to battle back towards the end scoring two runs in the fifth followed by three in the seventh, but it ultimately was not enough.
Leah Buck went 2-4 in game one with two RBI, along with Payton Brownlee who went 2-4 with one RBI. Grace Hammer pitched five innings for the Storm striking out five, giving up seven hits. Bridget Mullholand came in the bottom of the sixth to finish the game for the Storm.
Game Two
Carly Rowland pitched game two for the Storm recording four strikeouts, giving up eight hits.
The Storm scored their solo run of the game in the first inning on an RBI from Jesse Carpenter. Chloe Allen, Jaime Carpenter, and Jesse Carpenter all recorded one hit for the Storm.
The Golden Eagles shut down the Storm in the third and fourth innings recording six unanswered runs. Game two was called in the fifth inning due to darkness outside.

The Storm heads to Notre Dame College this Sunday, March 14th to compete in a double-header versus the 0-4 Falcons. This double-header is set to start with game one at 1 p.m. followed by game two at 3 p.m.
