The lone run for the Storm came in the top of the fourth when sophomore outfielder Taylor Phillips hit her first home run of the year.

The Storm got their first win of the season in their second game of the day against Concordia. The Storm had a big top half of the second, when they scored all four runs. Cheyanne Ham drew a bases loaded walk, which brought in Taylor Phillips to put the Storm up 1-0. Peyton Brownlee then singled, which scored Jesse Carpenter for the second run of the game. Alyssa Johnson then hit a two RBI single to score Morgan Smith and Ham, which put the Storm up 4-0.

In the bottom of the fifth, Concordia made a run off a three RBI double, but the Storm was able to get out of the jam to win with a final score of 4-3. In the circle for the Storm in the second game was Parker Viele, who tossed a complete game win in her first start of the year.
