Storm Travels to California (Pa.) (Preview)

PAINESVILLE, Ohio – The Lake Erie College baseball team will step away from G-MAC play with a non-conference doubleheader against the California (Pa.) University Vulcans at Consol Energy Park on Tuesday (April 3) at 3:00 PM.

Storm Report: Lake Erie is 11-11-1 overall and 9-3 in the G-MAC after the Storm dropped a doubleheader against Kentucky Wesleyan by two 8-4 scores. Trace Peterson (Medina, Ohio / Medina) leads the team with a .376 batting average, 23 runs, 32 hits, eight homeruns and 18 RBI.

Opposition Position: The Vulcans are 13-10 overall this season. Cal (Pa.) swept Pitt-Johnstown in a four game series last weekend. Chris Wastchak leads the team with 27 hits, nine doubles, five homeruns, and 24 RBI.

Series History: The two teams have faced off in six games before in the series. The Vulcans lead the series 5-1. Lake Erie and Cal (Pa.) split a doubleheader in Painesville last season.

Storm Forecast: The Storm will host #15 Ohio Dominican at Classic Park for a three game series, starting on Saturday (April 7).
