Lake Erie Drops Pitcher's Duel at Malone

CANTON, Ohio – The Lake Erie baseball team traveled down south to face off in a midweek nonconference battle against the Malone Pioneers. Offense would be hard to come by in this one as a pitcher's duel would occur. Malone would get on the board late in the game and come up out on top 1-0.

Runs would be hard to come by in Canton as each team struggled to get anything going on offense. In the second, the Storm and Pioneers would each get a runner to third, but each would be stranded. Malone would muster the only run of the game in the sixth. Lake Erie would threaten in the seventh and eighth with multiple runners, but could not get a run on the board. The Pioneers would take a midweek 1-0 pitcher's duel.
