EASTLAKE, Ohio – The Lake Erie baseball team returned to their traditional home for a series against the Walsh Cavaliers. The Storm and Cavaliers went back and forth in game one with the Cavaliers pulling away late in a high-scoring 15-8 victory for the Cavaliers. Walsh would hold off a late rally to take a 4-3 game two win. Lake Erie would power their way to a 14-6 game three win. The Cavaliers would go ahead early and comfortably take game four 10-1, securing the series victory.

The series would start off with teams responding back to each other. The Cavaliers would get on the board in the top of the first with two runs on two hits. The Storm would answer in the bottom half, tying the game at two with a solo shot from
Ty Sowers, his first of the season, and an RBI walk from
Matt Fountain. Walsh responded in the second with three runs on two hits and an error, moving back ahead 5-2. Lake Erie answering the punch, tying the score again, now at 5, with an RBI double from Fountain, and an RBI sacrifice fly from
Seth Yacobucci. After silence the next two innings, the Cavaliers would move back ahead in the fifth 8-5. The Storm had another response in the bottom half cutting the deficit to 8-7, with a two-run homer from
Seth Mannos, his first of the season and first of his career. Walsh added another run in the sixth. The Cavaliers would pull away in the latter portion of the game, putting up four runs in the seventh and two in the ninth, taking a high-scoring 15-8 game one victory.

Game two would be a fairly quiet game with the only damage coming in the third inning for the Cavaliers as they would put up all four of their runs on one hit and two errors. The Storm would show life late, cutting the score to 4-1 in the sixth with an RBI sacrifice fly from
Brendan Hazuda. Lake Erie would threaten for the walk off, putting up two runs in the seventh with
Brendon Rowe scoring on a wild pitch and an RBI sacrifice fly from Hazuda, but runners on first and second would be left stranded with Walsh holding on for a 4-3 game two win.

Micah Geise, his second of the season. Walsh would tie it up at five in the fourth. The Storm would erupt in the bottom half with five runs with RBI walks from Geise, Sowers, Fountain,
Dominic Roberts, and
Brendon Rowe, moving back ahead 10-5. Lake Erie would tack on two more runs in the fifth, growing their lead to 12-5 with an RBI single from
Hunter Aurand, and an RBI double from Roberts. The Cavaliers would then add one in the sixth. The Storm responded with two more in the bottom half with an RBI sacrifice fly from
Travis Yankovich, and an RBI triple from
