PAINESVILLE, OHIO - Riding a school record three-game winning streak, the Lake Erie College football team hosts Kentucky Wesleyan College in the home finale at Jack Britt Memorial Stadium on Saturday, Oct. 31.  Kickoff is set for 1 p.m.  Saturday is also Senior Day, Youth Football Day and Halloween. 
 The Storm (6-3) is coming off its third straight dominating performance, a 20-6 win over Urbana University last weekend.  It was the second straight home win for Lake Erie, which is 3-1 at "The Britt" this season. 
 Kentucky Wesleyan (1-7) meanwhile enters the game on a three-game losing streak.  The Panthers fell at Saint Joseph's last week, 48-7, to drop to 0-5 on the road this year.

THE SERIES: This is the second meeting between the two schools.  Lake Erie won the first meeting, 38-31, last year in Owensboro, Ky., on the strength of two fourth-quarter touchdowns.   

THE BROADCAST: The game will be carried live on flagship station ESPN 970 (WFUN) and streamed online at www.espn970wfun.com with local sports broadcasting veteran Craig Deas (play-by-play) calling the action.  

THE COACHES: Mark McNellie (Baldwin-Wallace '88) is in his third season at Lake Erie, guiding the program since its inception as a club sport in 2007.  He has a varsity record of 9-11 and is 16-13 overall (including club season). Prior to being named head coach at Lake Erie on Aug. 9, 2006, McNellie was an assistant coach at Mercyhurst College for 17 years.
 Brent Holsclaw (Kentucky Wesleyan '93) is in his seventh year at his alma mater and is 11-38 overall.  He previously was the offensive coordinator for two years at Lake Forest College and spent five years as an assistant on the Mercyhurst staff with Mark McNellie.       

TRIO TO BE RECOGNIZED ON SENIOR DAY: Three Storm seniors will take the home field for the final time in their college careers on Saturday: running back Tony Howard (Garfield Heights, Ohio/Garfield Heights/Kent State), center Nick Ellis (Thompson, Ohio/Ledgemont/Mt. Union) and punter Vince Hug (Eastlake, Ohio/Eastlake North/Bowling Green). They are the first senior class in Lake Erie football history and will be recognized prior to the game.

OTHER GAMEDAY PROMOTIONS ON TAP: Saturday is also Youth Football Day at Lake Erie.  Area youngsters sporting their youth team jerseys will be admitted free to the game.  And, in the spirit of Halloween, kids 14-and-under in costume will get in free and be invited to participate in a half-time trick-or-treat.

LAST TIME OUT FOR LAKE ERIE: Behind sophomore quarterback Sean Bedevelsky (Brunswick, Ohio/Brunswick) and a suffocating defense, the Storm won its third straight game in dominant fashion, 20-6, over Urbana on Saturday.  Bedevelsky rushed for 113 yards- his second straight 100-yard game- and threw touchdowns to running back Tony Howard and redshirt freshman tight end John Hokavar (Perry, Ohio/Perry).  Freshman kicker Sam Marcotte (Chardon, Ohio/Chardon) accounted for the other scores with a pair of field goals.  The Storm defense meanwhile limited Urbana to just 57 yards rushing and 295 total yards.  Gus Armbruster (North Royalton, Ohio/North Royalton) led the way with nine tackles while Kevin Chapman (Cincinnati, Ohio/Anderson) made five tackles and blocked an extra point.            

LAST TIME OUT FOR KENTUCKY WESLEYAN: The Panthers totaled just 78 yards on offense in losing their third straight game, 48-7 at Saint Joseph's (Ind.).  Kentucky Wesleyan trailed 14-0 before David James returned an interception 60 yards for a score.  However, the Panthers were outscored 34-0 the rest of the way.  Thomas Gordon gained 40 yards on 19 carries and David Howard completed 11-of-26 passes for 58 yards. He was intercepted twice.    

QUICK SLANTS: A win by Lake Erie would be its fourth straight and seventh overall... The Storm guaranteed no worse than a 6-5 season with a win last week, clinching the first winning season in school history... the current three-game winning streak is also the longest by the Storm... Lake Erie is 3-1 at home this season... Kentucky Wesleyan is the second opponent this season that the Storm had a win over last year (Apprentice School)... the 20 points against Urbana were the fewest points ever scored by the Storm in a win.  It was also just the fourth time in 20 games that Lake Erie scored fewer than 21 points.
