PRIOR TO LAKE ERIE: Earned three varsity letters in both football and wrestling at Copley High School... on the gridiron he was a first-team All-Suburban League selection... state qualifier in wrestling and a section champion in the 182-pound division.

PERSONAL: Born May 17, 1994... son of Julie Wheeler and David Wheeler... Education major... brother Sam wrestles at Kent State.
