Men’s Soccer Falls at Findlay

]Findlay, Ohio - The Lake Erie College men's soccer team suffered its first G-MAC blemish of the season, falling 2-1 on Thursday afternoon at the University of Findlay. 

The match was tightly contested throughout the 90 minutes with the Storm finishing with a 9-7 shot advantage, while the Oilers ended with a slight 4-3 edge in shots on goal. 

Findlay would strike first less than 10 minutes into the game as Tom Middleham netted his fourth goal of the season with the help of Tyson Woodring assist. 

The Storm would find the equalizer in the 20th minute when Pavlos Charalambous cashed in his second goal of the season off a corner kick. 

It remained level at 1-1 at the intermission, but less than eight minutes after the restart, the Oilers found the game-winner as Woodring set up Carson Oberski for his third tally of the season.

William Hjelte and Dario Stadler would put shots on frame in search of tying the match once again, but Ethan Hensley turned away both attempts to preserve the win for the Oilers. 

Veljko Radovanovic led LEC with three total shots, while Patrick Bassett made two saves between the pipes. 

The result dropped Lake Erie to 4-3-2 overall and 3-1-1 in the G-MAC. 

The Storm return home to host Walsh on Saturday at 2:30 p.m.
