PAINESVILLE, Ohio -- Lake Erie College Athletics and the women's basketball program are excited to announce that Tremayne Leverette has been named the new assistant coach for women's basketball.

"We are excited to welcome Coach Tre to our Storm family," said head coach Mikayla Lopez. "His proven ability to connect with student athletes, commitment to player development and overall passion for the sport make him a tremendous addition to our staff. I am excited to see the positive impact he will have on our program as we aim to build something special at Lake Erie."

Coach Tre brings a decade of coaching experience at the youth, collegiate and international levels to Lake Erie College. A native of Colorado, Tre began his coaching career in his home state before spending a brief time in Arizona. Most recently, he served as an assistant coach at Bethany College, where he helped guide the Bison to three consecutive Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Tournament appearances.

As a former collegiate student-athlete, Tre played two seasons at the junior college level before completing his playing career at the NCAA Division II level. Tre's coaching philosophy is built on energy, hard work, dedication and a commitment to excellence.

"I am very honored and grateful to have this opportunity to be on staff at Lake Erie," said Leverette. "I want to thank coach Lopez for the opportunity to coach with her and believing in me to help her take this team to the next level on and off the court.
