PAINESVILLE, Ohio – The Lake Erie volleyball team played their fourth straight game at home against the Ursuline Arrows. The Arrows would grab the first set comfortably, while the Storm would comeback in the second set. The Arrows would grab the third set, and the Storm would comfortably take the fourth set to force a decider. The Storm would seal the fifth set late for the victory.
Jasmine Heyward would reach a career high in kills, while
Ni'yah Fuggs and
Kennedy Stewart would post career highs in blocks, and
Kylie Anderson would have a new career high in assists.
Nicole Colombo also posted a career high in digs.

Set 1: The teams would begin the set exchanging points. The Arrows would take momentum taking a 15-12 lead and growing it to 19-13. Ursuline would take the set comfortably 25-15.
Set 2: The Arrows would continue their momentum from the first, taking an early 7-3 lead. Ursuline would continue to grow their lead all the way to 20-11. The Storm would find their footing by taking the next five points and cutting the deficit to 20-16 after a kill from
Rori Hanken, and a block from Hanken and
Ni'yah Fuggs. After an Arrows kill, Lake Erie would take eight of the next points for a 24-22 lead with a kill from Fuggs and

Set 5: The Arrows would sprint ahead 7-3. The Storm would tie it back up at 7 after a kill from Kirch and an ace from

Lake Erie conclude their current five-game homestand when Malone University comes to the Jerome T. Osborne Center on Saturday, October 11th at 12 p.m.
Malone is currently 4-9 overall and 3-2 in G-MAC play this season. Recently, the Pioneers took a five-set victory on the road at Ursuline and a four-set victory at home against Ashland. In the 2025 preseason poll, the Pioneers were picked to finish 4th in the G-MAC East division.
