PAINESVILLE, Ohio -- The Lake Erie Storm women's basketball team hosted the Thomas More Saints for another Great Midwest matchup in the Jerome T. Osborne Center. In a thrilling contest that showcased grit and determination, the game was marked by significant momentum swings, with both teams putting up spirited performances across all four quarters, but the Storm would fall 56-48.

Game Recap

The opening quarter saw Thomas More come out strong, establishing an early lead by scoring 18 points compared to the Storm's nine. Their offensive execution and defensive stops set the tone for the game. However, Lake Erie found their footing in the second quarter, outscoring Thomas More by a narrow 14-13 margin, cutting into the deficit and showcasing their resilience heading into halftime.

The third quarter was a back-and-forth affair, with Thomas More regaining their offensive rhythm to notch 19 points while holding the Storm to 17. This quarter proved pivotal, as the Saints extended their lead despite Lake Erie's best efforts to keep pace.
