MENTOR, OH – The Lake Erie Storm baseball completed a series against the Hillsdale College Chargers, on April 5,6,and 7. Lake Erie went 1-3 in the series winning the second game of the series. This brings the Storm record to 14-15 on the year and 6-8 in conference play.
GAME ONE
LAKE ERIE - 8
HILLSDALE - 20
Lake Erie was unable to stop the Chargers offense on the day. Travis Yankovich finished 1-1 with two RBIs and one home run. Jaxson Christ went 2-4 with two RBIs and one home run as well. Justin Major finished with a double, going 3-4 with two RBIs. Mannuk Cadiz and Zimba Cadiz each had a stolen base. Poltrone went 0.1 innings pitched with three earned runs, giving up four hits. Brendan Collins came in for 1.2 innings and gave up three earned runs off of two hits and struck out three. Lake Erie looked to bounce back after the high scoring affair.

GAME TWO
LAKE ERIE - 9
HILLSDALE - 7
The Storm bounced back after the tough loss with a 9-7 extra-innings walk off thriller with Trevor Smentek walking off in the bottom of the 10th with his first career home run. Smentek finished 1-1 with three RBIs and a home run. Mitchel Szymczak had a home run and a double going 4-6 with three RBIs. Sebastian Silva finished 2-3 with three RBIs and a home run. Israel Espinosa and Jacob Mote each finished with a double as well. Lake Erie rallied in the bottom of the seventh scoring four and tying the game up. After a scoreless 8th inning from each, the Chargers would go up by one heading into the 9th. Sebastian Silva hit in the game tying run in the 9th to send the game into extra innings, where Smentek finished it off. An electrifying win brought the Storm record to 14-13 and dead even in the G-MAC, 6-6.

HILLSDALE - 3
Lake Erie was unable to get the offense going for the first game of their double header on Sunday. Robert Pelt was able to give the Storm seven solid innings only allowing three earned runs off of eight hits while striking out seven. Mitchel Szymczak went 2-4 on the day and had two of the team's total five hits.

The Storm were unable to tie the series up and fell 3-6 to the Chargers in the final game. Mitchel Szymczak went 1-3 with one RBI. Garrett Esposito had one RBI in one at bat. Justin Major finished the contest going 1-2 with a triple. Graham Solak had one stolen base. Alex Caudill went 4.0 innings giving up five hits, three earned runs, while striking out four. AJ Clegg came in and offered 1.1 innings pitched while giving up zero hits or runs.

Lake Erie is back in action for a series of double-headers against the Tiffin University Dragons, at Classic Park, on Friday and Saturday, April 12 and 13. Friday begins at 1 PM and 4 PM, with Saturday beginning at 12 PM and 3 PM.
