Storm Dominate Pioneers in Regular Season Finale

PAINESVILLE, OH — The Lake Erie Storm Men's Lacrosse had their final regular season match of the season on Saturday, April 20, as they took on the Malone University Pioneers. The Storm dominated all aspects of the game and found themselves in control 11-4 at the half and poured it on in the second half with a 20-6 win. This brings the Storm record to 7-7 on the year and 6-2 in G-MAC competition. The Storm finished third overall in the conference behind Mercyhurst and Seton Hill and find themselves with a playoff berth.

Cramer and Kindall led the way for the Storm in the offensive . Andrew Cramer had a team high five goals on six shots with two assists. Dawson Kindall was right behind Cramer with four total goals on 10 shots with one assist. Billy Coughlin had three goals in the contest. Jackman Schooley and Zephaniah Scott finished with two goals each. Sean Gavin, Will Whitlock, Kevin Albright, and Robert Weil all scored once. 

The Storm were able to gain 32 ground balls to the Pioneers 42 during the contest. Garrett Brockmeyer went 8-15 on faceoffs, while Joshua Hegbe completed 3-14 in the category. Mitch Kiebala had 11 saves in the match, allowing only six total goals to the Pioneers. Kiebala moves to 4-3 now on the year in goal.
