Storm Slay Dragons on Senior Day 23-4

PAINESVILLE, OH — The Lake Erie Storm Men's Lacrosse team had senior night festivities with a G-MAC match on Saturday, April 13, as they took on the Tiffin University Dragons. The Storm found themselves in control 10-2 at the half and would go on to dismantle the Dragons 23-4. This brings the Storm record to 7-7 on the year and 6-2 in G-MAC competition.

Dawson Kindall, Garrett Brockmeyer, and Andrew Cramer each had two goals in the first half. Woods, Weil, Albright, and Scott each had one goal in the first half of play. 

Andrew Cramer led all scorers with five total goals on eight shots. Jackman Schooley finished with three goals while, Kindall, Albright, Brockmeyer, Woods, Scott, and Weil all finished with two goals for the day. Mahoney, Whitlock, and Zurowski all had one goal in the Storm's dominating win.

The Storm were able to gain 28 ground balls to the Dragons 25 during the contest. Garrett Brockmeyer went 13-26 on faceoffs with two goals off the faceoff wins. Joshua Hegbe completed 3-5 in the category. Mitch Kiebala had eight saves in the match, allowing only four total goals to the Dragons. Kiebala moves to 5-2 now on the year in goal. 

Lake Erie is away for their final contest of the season on Saturday, April 20, as they take on the Malone University Pioneers, with the start time for the match as TBD.
