FROSTBURG, MD — The Lake Erie Storm Men's Lacrosse team headed out on their second game of this road stint, taking on the Frostburg State University Bobcats, on Saturday, March 30.
The Storm found themselves unable to get much offense going on the day, being down 10-3 going into the half. The Storm would fall 20-6 after a good team effort. This brings the Storm record to 4-6 on the year and 3-1 in G-MAC competition.
Kevin Albright led all things scoring for the Storm with three of the total six Storm goals on the day. Albright had three goals on just seven shots. Jackman Schooley, Andrew Cramer, and Dawson Kindall all added in one goal. Billy Coughlin, Kindall, and Cramer each had an assist in the contest.
Lake Erie struggles in face offs going 3-29 altogether. Brockmeyer went 2-15 while Hegbe went 1-14.
Lake Erie caused15 Frostburg State turnovers tied with their own at 15. The Storm were only able to gain 13 ground balls during the contest. Mitch Kiebala had 10 saves in the loss giving up 20 goals to the Bobcats. Kiebala moves to 2-2 now on the year in goal.
Lake Erie is back in action at home on Tuesday, April 2, to take on the Thomas More University Saints. Face off is at 4 PM.
