PAINESVILLE, Ohio — The Lake Erie College Storm were back in action at home on Thursday, February 8, when they took on the Northwood Timberwolves. Lake Erie was down 45-47 to the Timberwolves at the half. The Storm would end up falling in a nail-bitter 80-83 . This brings their record to 6-16 and 4-10 in G-MAC play.
Lake Erie shot 47% as a team from the floor and 34% from behind the arch. They had 18 bench points and 40 points in the paint. Lake Erie totaled 3 steals, 34 rebounds, and 14 assists tonight. They caused 12 Timberwolves turnovers leading to 11 points.
The Storm were led by C.J. Hornbeak and Leon Hughes. Hughes dropped 18 points and six rebounds in a team high 40 minutes of action. Hornbeak had a team high 20 points and four assists after going 6-12 from the field.
Lake Erie is back at home on Saturday, February 10, when they take on the Hillsdale College Chargers. Tip off is at 1 PM.
