PAINESVILLE, Ohio — The Lake Erie Storm were back at home for another conference match-up on Saturday, January 6, when they took on the Walsh University Cavaliers. The Storm battled to the end but would fall 60-53 to the Cavaliers. Bringing their record to 4-10 and 2-4 in G-MAC play. 

At the half the Storm were down 28-33 to the Cavaliers. Leon Hughes led the way for the Storm in the first half with nine points. Jacob Plantz added eight first half points. Lake Erie shot 41% from the floor and 36% from behind the arch in the first half. Lake Erie did not attempt a single foul shot during the first half.

Lake Erie finished shooting 34% from the field, on 58 attempts. They shot 24% from behind the arch after going 36% from three point range in the first half. Lake Erie had three players in double-digit scoring. Plantz finished with a team high 19 points, four rebounds, four assists, and one steal. Manning finished with a double-double putting up 15 points and 14 boards, with one block and one steal. Leon Hughes 10 points and six rebounds.

Lake Erie is back in action next Saturday, January 13, when they travel to Cedarville, Ohio to take on the Cedarville University Yellowjackets. Tip off is at 4:15 PM.
