FINDLAY, Ohio – The Lake Erie women's basketball team battled the University of Findlay Oilers on Thursday, Jan. 4. The Storm would fall 88-44 after getting behind early. This loss brings their record to 1-9 (0-5 G-MAC).
The Storm struggled offensively throughout the game as they shot 28.8% from the field. The Oilers forced 20 turnovers on the Storm, contributing to their offensive struggles. However they shot well from the free throw line, as they made 10-of-12.
The Storm were led by freshman Kylie Maxwell who had 13 points while shooting 6-of-12 (50%) from the field. She also recorded three rebounds and a block. Sophomore Ryan Elbert recorded a team high of six rebounds. She also tallied seven points.
The Storm will be back in action at home when they face Notre Dame College for another non conference matchup. This game will take place on Saturday, Jan. 6. at 3 p.m.
