OWENSBORO, Kentucky – The Lake Erie women's basketball team battled the Kentucky Wesleyan Panthers on Thursday, Jan. 25 for another Great Midwest Athletic Conference match-up. Despite a competitive first quarter, the Storm would fall 75-45. This loss brings their record to 1-15 (0-10 G-MAC).
The Storm would have a close first quarter as they were able to obtain the lead. However, the Panthers would regain the lead at the end of the quarter and never look back. Turnovers would hurt the Storm, as the Panthers were able to score 37 points off 36 turnovers.
The Storm were led by Senior Alexis Lehmkuhl who had 10 points and three rebounds. Sophomore Emma Fouch led the Storm with a career high of six rebounds. She also had six points and an assist.
The Storm will continue to look for their first G-MAC win when they travel to Nashville, Tennessee where they will battle the Trevecca Nazarene University Trojans. This game will take place on Saturday, Jan. 27 at 12 p.m. EST.
